The Radio at 2:13 AM

Marcus loved repairing old electronics, so when he found a vintage radio at a garage sale, he grabbed it. The seller warned him it “only works at 2:13 a.m.,” but Marcus assumed it was a joke.

That night, he set the radio on his nightstand and went to sleep. At exactly 2:13 a.m., it clicked on by itself. A fuzzy voice crackled through the static: “Marcus… can you hear me?” He sat up, thinking it was interference, until the voice added: “Don’t move. It sees you.”

His room grew icy. Something shifted in the corner—tall, thin, and trembling like it didn’t quite belong in this world. The radio continued: “It enters through reflection. Don’t look.”

Marcus stared at the floor, heart racing. But the creature crept closer, its nails scraping softly. The radio voice whispered urgently, “It wants your shape.”

Unable to resist, Marcus glanced at the mirror on the wall. The reflection showed the creature standing behind him, but in the mirror it was smiling with his face.

When Marcus screamed, the radio went silent.
At 2:14 a.m., only the creature remained in the room—wearing Marcus’s body like it had always been his.
